If you have been following my Retirement News Article newsletters, you know that I have an affinity for summer festivals of all kinds, especially Music & Arts Festivals. There have been various festival calendars featured in those newsletters…one at a time. I apologize that as we enter “mid-summer”, it didn’t occur to me until now that a compilation of these calendars would prove handy to my readers. I will say that this list below is not complete as you can search and find dozens of such calendars. However, I do feel this is representative.

Summer stock theatres and summer theatre festivals are excellent résumé builders for high school graduates, college and university students, and professionals who either want to work through the summer or add onto their résumé. A variety of paid and unpaid work is available, and apprenticeships and unpaid internships can be valuable experience for a first or second job after high school or your first couple of college years.* Note that some theatres and festivals may also audition and/or interview at various conferences or list openings on various call boards, though the website may not note it. If a theatre has only one link in its listing, the page may have a combination of performance, technical, design, internship, and other work available on or through that page. Just because it says “work with us” or “auditions” in the URL doesn’t mean there may not be more to it.
