Travel for Seniors
Article one, from TheTravel, gives us the ultimate scenic American road trip. The route utilizes US Route 89 as part of their road trip, where seven Western US National Parks are interspersed. Here is the most scenic road trip itinerary for exploring this breathtaking route.
Article two, from Axios, claims that despite many challenges, we are entering a boom period for American rail. It cites a number of recent rail service additions as well as soon to be opened routes as well. Not surprisingly, it cites the challenges of funding, geography and ridership. In closing, the writer yells “All Aboard”…if all works out.

Lifestyle, Health & Welfare for Seniors
Article one is of special interest to me, as I prefer grapefruit juice to orange juice. The article focuses upon seven drug “types” that don’t mix well with the grapefruit juice, which can change the way the body “metabolizes” or absorbs the medications.

This week’s culinary articles are about indulgence…at least at my personal level. Both ice cream and huevos rancheros are favorites of mine, which is why I was quick to share this week.
Article one is for those of us who like, or even love, ice cream. How would you like to learn about healthier brands? If I have your interest, I recommend you check out the story below. You may also consider my alternative, which is simple frozen yogurt in lieu of ice cream.
I admit to being a fan of breakfast…even for an occasional dinner. Huevos rancheros are one of my favorites, so I was excited to see article two and the ensuing recipe. This recipe is definitely for those needing to make the “perfect” huevos rancheros, as everything is from scratch.

There is no mandatory retirement age in the US. However, age 65 is a popular milestone that many choose at which to retire. Article one gives you 3 things to think about if that is your target age.
Article two, from Kiplinger, says, “Real estate looks to be especially hopping this spring, thanks to pent-up demand and buyers adjusting to higher mortgage rates. With mortgage rates between 6-7%, it’s important to remember that becoming emotionally attached to a possible home purchase can lead to financial loss. In the current market, it’s best to go in well prepared and realistic, given the financial challenges. Here’s how you can prepare”.
