Introduction to Wine, Beer and Food Festivals for 2024
If you read my previous post about Music and Arts Festivals, you know that is one of the favorite pastimes of my wife and I. Given the size and breadth, as well as diversity of this nation, you can be sure to find a celebratory event that matches up with your personal interests and passions. I hope this resource helps you do just that!

County Fairs and Other Festivals
Other than baseball and apple pie, I can’t think of anything more American than state and county fairs. What is especially grand is that you don’t have to travel very far and it likely feels just like home. If you investigate the resources below, you will be able find a vast array of events, from state and county fairs to antique shows and flea markets.
Ohio Festivals and More
Thought this site is labeled Ohio festivals, it includes events in 26 states, so it is a rather comprehensive resource as well. The line-up looks to be most of the states from Minnesota to the east coast, encompassing most of the Mid-west and eastern US. As I perused this site, I was impressed with the vast array of events listed for each state.
County Fairground USA
The resource at County Fairgrounds USA is not glamorous, but is comprehensive. I would start with the menu on the upper left corner and then click on the drop-down menu for “events”. If you click on the USA Map button, you can download a pdf or click on an individual state to see a line-up of county and state fairs or assorted other events, which of course often involve music, food as well as the typical farm and livestock shows and contests. Note, some highlighted events will pop-up, but there is a search engine which lets you input criteria such as “Alabama State Fair”.
